D. Funded Grant Proposals 

Implementing Inmate Behavior Management Guide funded for $19,999 by the U.S. Department of Justice.  (Co-authored) Funding for creation of a document that provides specific guidance and tools for developing measurable goals that will serve as the foundation for developing and monitoring the implementation of the Inmate Behavior Management strategies.

Campus-Community Partnership Foundation funded for $2500 by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. 

 University Forum Mini-grant funded for $4500 by the Georgia State Department of Education for recruitment of Special Education teachers. I was the principle writer for the grant proposal.

 U.S. Dept. of Education Teaching American History GrantsI wrote the assessment and evaluation sections of each of four (4) grant proposals.  Each proposal was funded for for $1 million over a three (3) year period.

 AASU Community Service and Leadership Grant for $2,637.43 to fund a one semester replacement instructor by the Office of the Vice President for External Affairs (2006)

 AASUSchoolof Graduate Studies – 2 federally funded graduate assistant positions for 2006-07 academic year to assist with community efforts.  Both assist with Step Up Poverty Reduction Initiatives, one through St. Mary’s Community Center and the other through Coastal Empire United Way (2004-2007).  A third graduate assistant position was acquired 2007.

 The Rotary Club of Skidaway Island – funded $1,750 for St. Mary’s Community Center Library (2005).

 JCB, Inc. – Five (5) Laptop Computers and one (1) Infocus projector

 Walt’s Furniture of Springfield - $1,150 for furniture for St. Mary’s Community Center Low-Literacy Adult Library and Reading Center.

 Submitted grant proposals awaiting notification:

 National Institute of Corrections – Requested $19,999 to fund the creation of a document, Tools for Implementing Inmate Behavior Management, CFDA Number: 16.601 (Co-authored with Megan Morris, June 2011)
